As part of the Clean Up Australia program, Bowen Scouts participated in the Great Northern Clean UP removing litter from their communities. Firstly they tackled parkland in proximity to the Maccas Restaurant where take away food packaging and straws were prolific. They then moved to Yasso Point where they collected rubbish accumulating in the car park, dunes and river banks of the Don River.
