GLOBAL YOUTH SERVICE DAY EXPERIENCES

Global youth dervice day is an international initiative to raise awareness on Service to worlg nation local to community. The Guiding Federation of Turkey all alng the yeard participated to these events. These photos are a small collection of those Activities.  Here is the action from 2010 activities   Now a similar program also initiated in Turkey by Ministry of Youth and Sports and all youth centers participated in thi project. In evry youth center children wroto their service on leave shaped papers and stick on a tree poster. Some scout groups and individual scouts participated to this action and some even made their Servce tree in their meeting places   ,Here is the story of 2010 action   The 22nd Global Youth Service Day was a resounding success. Millions of children and youth around the world partnered with family, friends, schools, community and faith-based organizations, media, corporations, and public officials to make a positive impact locally, nationally, and globally. UKRANIA Karkow community initiative worked out for povery, hunger, and sustainable development, BULGARIA A celebration made at Varna with folk dances. Volunteers were bust at Poland in hospitals. Albania clean ups organized RWANDA They were busy to fight against HIV/AIDS Kanada Organized for fight to Cancer.. In Hungary, 20,000 young people between 14 and 25 joined 200 local volunteer projects in 180 villages and cities. In the capital city, Budapest secondary school students organized a food drive and collected 3,000 kg of food. The mayor, in the town where the food will be dispersed, accepted the donated food on behalf of his constituents. For the tenth year in a row, Did you participate in GYSD?
