Due to the on going load shading in our country people could not afford paraffin as a source of fuel in bringing light and cooking as many where unemployed and resorted to the massive cutting down of trees .it made us (Collin sambo ,BRain Ncube , Bulisa Ngwenya ,Kumbulani Takawira ,David Museki and my self )identify the gap of sensitizing the community and helping them try to normalize the situation by afforestation using the one is to ten trees method .In partnership with the Zimbabwe Forestry commission who played a pivotal role in the onset of the project who later donated seeds that could be used in our plantation . The project lasted for nearly four months. Only three types of trees (Acasia ,Gum tree and Syringa ) managed to survive to the transplant phase .Nearly Two thousand trees where planted in diffent places during the transplant phase .
