Giving back is priceless.

Besides doing my Springbok and Presidents award I was inspired to feed Daleside community, because we all know what it is like to go hungry sometimes, and I was inspired to do a collection drive and assist Avril Elizabeth Home in honour of my Grandmother who always supported them.
Daleside community project was implemented together with Midvaal community church where we, on a weekly basis make hotdogs to feed the community. Jars of hope are also made up and offered weekly to families who are there. Avril Elizabeth home is always in need especially because many residents are dropped off and forgotten there this project will end only later and together with my troop we will be doing 40 hours of collection drives.
For Daleside community to date 381 people of Daleside community were fed and 67 Jars of hope were handed out to families. For Avril Elizabeth Home we have estimated to provide food and toiletries to about 100 residents.
Learning that there are others less fortunate and that giving is better than receiving. to get more help and to create more exposure and awareness.
