Christmas is just around the corner and most people are busy buying gifts and food for Noche Buena. But for a lot of families here in Catanduanes especially those that live in far flung areas, celebrating and preparing for Christmas would be the last on their lists. This is because a lot of these families have barely enough food to eat 3 times a day and some dont even have a roof above their heads yet. Seeing this, us Catandunganon scouts quickly had the initiative to help in our own little way. We chose to help Barangay Dugui Too , Virac Catanduanes because most of the people that lives there lives in poverty, and their place is really hard to reach because of its distance and the undeveloped roads to get to the place. The Catandunganon scouts distributed clothes, rice, and noche buena packs containing pasta, softdrinks, and canned goods to every family in the barangay. We hope that with the little gifts that we've brought them, we've also brought them joy and the true essence of Christmas.
