Cabanatuan City Council, Boy Scouts of the Philippines --- Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology scouts proposed a Gift Giving Project, and fortunately, the institution supported and participated in the said project. As the event was set at August 8, NEUST scouts had a preparation that includes finding sponsors; buying gifts and wrapping them in bags, made possible by the fund gathered in different sponsors and solicitation from families of NEUST scouts; coordinating the institution for the event place. The event mentioned above was successfully held at NEUST Dona Asuncion G. Romula Memorial Hall, Gen. Tinio St., Cabanatuan City last August 8, 2014 participated by children and their parents and guardians in the city. A total of 347 gifts were given among children, which the remaining gifts were given randomly in the participants. They were served with snacks and water during the event. The event started at 10 o'clock in the morning and ended by noon. More than 1000 participants were clapping and smiling as the event ended. The participants were benefited with joy and some gifts. With this, the scouts objective to share happiness and to contribute in some way in the community.
