As part of our troops messenger of peace project based in Castlesaunderson international Scout center,our scout undertook a service project. The project consisted of taking on a role in the preparation and running a fun run in aid of two local cancer charities and the Irish cancer society.Our Scouts prepared the medals and goody bags in the two weeks coming up to the event and distributed the bags and water etc on the day. During the event we shook bucket to collect money and helped to steward the event. Afterwards we we went along the route and collected empty water bottles and other rubbish. In total €3000 euros was raised.
