Since last 12 year Free water distribution to passengers travelling by the Indian Railways is conceptually inspired by the values of peace, friendship and strives towards harnessing greater humanitarian values. The distribution programme carried out by scouts and guides under the guidance of me as D.O.C. (Scouts) aimed at providing fresh and cold water to the passengers free of cost. In the scorching heat of summer when the temperature reaches a high of 48 degrees it is a very tiresome job to travel and when these thirsty and tired passengers are provided fresh and cold RO water they show gratitude and thankfulness towards the scouts and guides. The distribution drive was carried out from 1-5-2018 to 31-5-2018 during which approximately 50,000 passengers and bystanders were benefitted and a total 31,365 litres of water was distributed. In the year 2018 from May 1st to May 31st we took the responsibility to serve humanity by providing free fresh and cold water. In this endeavour of I seeked the help of some communities and other pretigious social organisations like The Rotary Club, Youth Hostel Association of India, Shree Agrawal Sabha, Social Action for Progressive Nation Foundation (SAPNA), Mahila Khatri Sabha, Shree Bedi Shubh Karya Seva Samiti, Alumini Association,Param Pastries, Awadh abhushan Bhandar and The Bazaza Family The project is highly sustainable as cold filtered water is easily available by commercial water distributors. It also solves the problem of availability of cold water at the railway station. Since the water provided is free of cost it is comes as a boon to those passengers who cannot afford packeged drinking water available at the station. This project included around 16 schools and 10 social organisations that provided assistance in smooth running of the programme. The passengers particularly feel glad, served and satisfied when they are provided expand the M.O.P. initiative. This project inspired more than 150 Scouts & Guides. The programme was appreciated by the society and saw it as a service to humanity.
