Free Blood Group Test Campaign
We were inspired to start this project because many people in our community do not know their blood group. During emergencies, especially when blood is needed urgently, this becomes a big problem. As Scouts, we wanted to promote good health and help people by providing a free and easy way to know their blood group. This also encourages more people to become future blood donors.
We organized a free blood group testing event in Narayanganj with the support of Esso Alor Shondhane Jubo Songothon and Alokito Narayanganj Open Scout Group. Rover Scouts and volunteer team worked together to test people’s blood groups and record the results. Community members joined the event and received their blood group information free of cost.
Through this project we learned that many people are still unaware of their blood group and a simple initiative can create a big impact in emergencies. We realized the importance of teamwork and partnerships between Scouts, youth groups, and medical professionals. This experience also taught us how awareness campaigns can encourage people to become future blood donors and strengthen community health.
