Forgotten Children – South Africa

The ravaging impact of HIV/AIDS, affecting more than 22 million people in Sub Saharan Africa, is well documented. Less well known is the work of Scouts throughout the continent who are engaged in projects and programmes to minimise infection and to help families and communities struggling with the disease. Especially as the traditional family support network, already affected by endemic poverty, is stretched to breaking point. World Scout Foundation
