We received permission from 7 local grocery stores to have Scouting youth canvass for non perishable food products on Friday Mar 22nd, 2013 and Saturday Mar 23rd, 2013. While collecting we collected 2000 pounds of food and a substantial amount of cash. Youth were station at the doors to the stores. The intent was to put some food on the shelves for the food bank just prior to easter
