Firefighting at Rajshahi New Market
• To support firefighters in containing the fire and preventing further damage. • To help evacuate shopkeepers, workers, and customers safely. • To provide first aid to injured individuals and ensure proper medical attention. • To raise awareness among shopkeepers and the public about fire safety measures.
On March 16, 2025, as a scout member, I actively participated in a firefighting and rescue operation at Rajshahi New Market. A sudden fire broke out in the marketplace, putting lives and businesses at risk. Alongside professional firefighters and volunteers, our scout team assisted in controlling the fire, ensuring public safety, and providing first aid to the affected individuals.
Through this initiative, our scout team demonstrated the importance of preparedness, teamwork, and community service. This project aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by promoting safety, resilience, and environmental protection.
