A FIGHT AGAINST COVID19 AND CAMPAIGN FOR ELECTORAL PEACE

The Fight Against COVID19 and Campaign for Electoral Peace project seeks to campaign for a peaceful election while taking information on the covid19 pandemic to the doorsteps of folks in the most marginalized communities in the northern region of Ghana. The project will involve sensitization, education and training on electoral peace and what the corona virus is, how the virus spreads, how to protect oneself and to stop its spread, what the symptoms look like and the steps involved in seeking medical attention. The project will also involve donation of personal protective equipment including reusable nose masks, alcohol based hand sanitizers, tippy taps and veronica buckets for hand washing, medicated soaps and gloves. The project however does not only try to reach out to the marginalized communities on education about the virus and electoral peace but also to see the possibility of opening up community based scout groups to increase the visibility of scouting in deprived communities.

  • A visit to 50 rural communities in the northern region of Ghana for a door to door covid19 prevention sensitization and peace campaign.
  • There shall be construction of tippy tap hand washing stands for some households and demonstration of its construction and usage.
