English Communication Course (ECCO) Tourism 2013 was held on 2 and 3 November 2013 in Kuala Perlis Ferry Terminal . It is organized in collaboration by the Malaysian University Rover Training Group (MURTG) from Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) , Ministry of Tourism and Culture of Perlis State , Institute of Strategic Studies, Leadership & Community and the Centre of International Language UniMAP . The purpose of this program is to build the basic communication skills in English among tourism operators who worked in the vicinity of Kuala Perlis Ferry Terminal . A total of 50 participants from among the tourism operators consisting of a taxi driver, counter ticket sales person, parking operator , restaurant operator, tourist accommodation operators and so on . And in addition, MURTG of UniMAP provide 20 members as volunteers at the port of Kuala Perlis ferry shuttle - Langkawi . Volunteers are assigned to assist passengers who will board the ferry or when passengers get off at the jetty whether in goods or passenger handling services who are aged, children, the disabled are getting on or off the ferry .
