End Violence Against Children(EVAC) Orientation

The violence against children is very much prevalent in our society openly or under cover which we never know. So to make the society harmonious and safe for our children, one gateway to reach out to create safe environment is giving orientation to the adult and leaders so their awareness is raised. This will directly or indirectly help provide safe and harm free society at home and around.
The project "End Violence Against Children" (EVAC) was carried out with financial support from UNICEF under the initiative of Bhutan Scout Association for all scout leaders of 14 schools under Thimphu District, Bhutan. The project is expected to cover 12000 students under Thimphu District to raise awareness on violence against children at home and school. The objectives is to create safe and harmonious environment for our children at home and school with less violence against our children.
The Project is expected to serve the purpose to 12000 scout leaders, scouts and children altogether in 14 schools across Thimphu District. With the completion of the orientation on "End Violence Against Children" the children in schools are expected to enjoy harmonious and conducive environment that directly contributes to increase of academic performance and social well being.
The project is to protect our children form violence therefore continuous orientation and awareness on the subject will be coordinated in future.
