End Racism, Build Peace

"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere" the main motivation of this small project was to make our college family (teachers and students) know about the importance of celebrating and spreading peace and to make them aware that peace begins from within. Moreover the main goal was to let them know about the existence of racism and what we should do to end it so that there is a peace everywhere.
The project was done in the Faculty of Traditional Medicine (FoTM). Students and teachers were gathered and rovers of FoTM did a short presentation related to the theme of the day "End Racism, Build Peace." We also showed few informative videos related to the theme. Teachers and students were asked to share their knowledge and experience about the racism. Finally to energize and to bring smiles, the crowd was served with the tea and snacks.
Students and teachers could reflect themselves if they have been racist. They knew that racism is actually killing another person emotionally and destroying peace. At the end of the session, everyone in the hall committed to stop being racist and spread Peace.
After preparing and doing this presentation, I have learnt to respect everyone for who they are irrespective of their size, color, gender or cast because everyone has their own right and this mother earth belongs to everyone.
