Educating on Flag Protocol

Educating on Flag Protocol

On 4th April 2019, the Nachung scouts and CheyChey scouts of the school were involved actively in learning about flag protocols. National flag is one of the significant representation and identity of a country. Thus it is very important to know about one's National flag.

As a scout and citizen of country, it is equally important to know when, how and why to fly the national flag and lower the flag. 52 scouts in the school were trained on the parts of flag and the significance of the National flag of Bhutan. The Nachung scouts also learnt about how to hoist and fly the national flag. The CheyChey scouts (aged 6 to 9) drew the pictures of the National flag and exhibited to other scouts.

The concept of HALF MAST and the reasons for it were also shared to the troop. The Most important message imparted on the day was RESPECT ONE'S FLAG and RESPECT FLAGS OF ANY COUNTRY.
