Savan's Shivratri (Sawan Shivratri) is celebrated every year in the Sawan month. According to the Hindu calendar it is the fifth month of every year, whereas according to the Gregorian calendar, it comes in July and August. Shivratri is of special significance in the Hindu religion in the month of Saawan. Shiva devotees wait for this Shivratri throughout the year. To please his adorable Lord Shiva Shankar, the devotees go on journey to bring Kawad. During this visit, Shiva devotees bring water of Ganga river on their shoulders and on the day of Savan Shivratri, symbolizes Lord Shiva on Shivalinga. This time Shivratri was celebrated on 9th of August. Rovers of Bharat Scout and Guide (Delhi State) renderd service by serving food, water, fruit etc. & helped Cawns with first aid and cleaning their resting place. And also told them about Scouts and Guides.
