Distributing winter clothing ,food among the poor.

Winter is the coldest season so during this time many poor people ,city dwellers and people living below the poverty line suffer a lot as they have no warm clothes to cover themselves with .As a scouting seeing them suffer was painful and my heart ached. I decided to plan a project where me along with 21 scouts will provide these poor sufferers with warm clothes ,blankets and sweaters. There were almost hundreds elderly people with zero income and children. Bangladesh Navy funded us.

I planned that our team of 22 scouts would work actively in bringing people to our campus and took them to a comfortable place to sit. There were beggars who were disabled and with mobility .We helped them to walk there as well and carried people with wheelchairs .I took the lead and distributed the work among my peers .At last we were able to give 600 people warm clothes ,blankets during shivering, biting cold environment. The project was successful and our work was published in a newspaper.

Around 600 city dwellers ,beggars and children who were orphans got warm clothes, blankets in shivering, gnawing cold. They were able to lead a healthy and comfortable lifestyle during winter. We also helped them from falling sick ,having severe cold and from diseases as well. As cold wave was happening in our area many of the city dwellers could've died from cold stroke but we helped them to avoid such consequences.

I learnt so many things from the project such as i learnt to lead a whole team during the process. I learn planning, conflict management and coming up with a sole decision .It was also my first time confronting strangers ,city dwellers and beggars .I learnt to hold a proper conversation with them and also developed communication skills as well. Overall i became more confident and i tried to pursue other projects after that.
