Dialogue for Peace in a Workplace at ECHO

We recognized that many conflicts in schools and communities often arise from misunderstanding and lack of empathy as well as communication skills.

This workshop was conducted with 28 ECHO staff members on 9 August 2024 at Pathumthani Province. It was designed to help staff and team members explore how open communication, empathy, and mutual respect can strengthen collaboration in a diverse work environment.

They learned that listening with empathy and respecting colleagues and customers identities are essential for harmony in the workplace. Misperceptions often create tension in service interactions, but open dialogue and clear communication help transform misunderstandings into trust. Most importantly, when employees feel safe and valued, they are more engaged and motivated to provide excellent service which becoming true peacebuilders in their teams and with the clients they serve.
