DIALOGUE FOR PEACE PROGRAMME, KENYA.

Scouts have a common identity that transcends national boundaries and other differences. For more than a century, our Movement has become a living proof that we can live together harmoniously by balancing both our similarities and differences. We are even learning to value the complementarity of some of our differences, making us stronger and better at finding inclusive solutions to a variety of problems, tensions and conflicts at local and global levels.
The project was implemented in Kiambu county involving 46 scouts and in Kakamega County involving 30 scouts. It was executed through physical and online training lasting 4 days in each county.
76 Rover scouts were empowered with the skills and competencies that will enable them to actively participate in the decision-making and resolution of community issues for sustainable development.
Teach Scouts how to instill dialogue in their hearts and minds as a value, rather than just a skill. The training builds a foundation for dialogue in the scout's movement and strengthens the Scouting value system with an aim of offering a clear path to any young person wanting to become, a dialogical Scout. This is one of the ways to create a better world and achieve global peace.
