Dialogue for Peace Introduction Workshop 2022

I decided to hold a Dialogue for Peace Introduction Workshop to achieve the D4P badge after attending the Scouts Association of Malaysia's Dialogue for Peace Online Awareness Workshop. During Test and Training Camp, I had the opportunity to conduct the D4P introduction workshop after having a discussion with the scout leader.
Firstly, I gave a brief introduction of the D4P badge. Next, I conducted 2 peace-building activities which are Masrail Game and Pyramid Game. Scouts are encouraged to have a discussion and share their perspectives with group members. I also explained the Participant badge, Facilitator badge and Trainer badge including the requirements to achieve each badge. The final session was a question-and-answer session where participants could ask questions to learn more about the D4P programme.
This Dialogue for Peace introduction workshop helped participants have a better understanding of the programme, which included culture of peace, the ten principles of dialogue, establish group rules for dialogue groups, three different types of badge and other topics. Participants were also conscious of the importance and way to promote and practise dialogue in their community.
As a conclusion, dialogue is important for maintaining a peaceful society. Without communication, there will be conflicts, violence, bigotry, and other negative things. Because of this, we must always communicate to others and have discussions before making decisions in order to develop positive relationships.
