On 21st Sept, we observed the day by lighting the butter lamp and a prayers for peace for all the sentient beings at school Lhakhang. All the boarding students participated in the prayer coordinated by the scout leader Lopen Wangchuk in the school Lhakhang. At 11:30 Am 6 boys , six girls along with the scout leader and two community scout went to Pangsho Goenpa to render community services. On 22nd Sept after the breakfast we proceeded to work. We cleared the way toward Lamsey Goenpa and also a way towards the Goenpas Water source. At 12PM we returned the journey back to school but on the way we again cleared the ways, cleaned the water sources, pasted signs and notifications of the particular scared places(Nyes) to make the visitors know the importance and significances of the place. We reached back to school at 6PM. Although the International Day of Peace falls on 21st September (Saturday) and it was holiday , we were unable to involve all the students and the staff. Therefore the day was observed and marked on 23rd September, Monday. We Began the day by reading the message for the International Day of Peace by the scout Troop Leader. We displayed the the charts prepared by each patrol. We also displayed the banners on the International Day of Peace.
