With the Covid-19 pandemic taking hold over the country, the capital city of Maldives Malé needed a quick reaction force to decontaminate the city and its high risk places. Scouts were called into form this team along with Malé City Council, Maldives National Defence Force and Maldives Customs Service. The multi agency decon team is responsible for handling decontamination of venues where positive cases are found.
