The Dana Pinkama
'Good deeds are the only vessels which contain the truth' - James Allen. In this world religion and personal philosophy overtake the actions of a young citizen, resulting in deeds done by young citizens either good or bad. My motivation for this simple project was simple ; doing good deeds and still keeping myself in what we call as the good side of the religion. When I heard of this Dana Pinkama, I sprang into action and my internal motives overtook me so that I could do nothing but help.
To execute my project I, as a young citizen, got deep into the organization in order to ensure that Dana Pinkama would be a success. While food is needed for a Dana Pinkama I thought of dividing the curries among the families who were giving the Dana Pinkama. When the project was going on, I did as much as I can in order to make this event a triumph, such as serving dishes, and giving water to people in order to wash their hands. The event went as it was supposed to be and was a great victory.
According to my religion, serving a Dana Pinkama is a great merit that leads the path to the eternal nibbana. We, as young citizens, learned what it is to serve a Dana Pinkama in a rightful manner. The people who came to the Dana got helpful refreshment after a dutiful morning. The families that took the organization got a chance to know each other. At last the whole community who attended the Dana Pinkama got a chance to know each other and be friends with a new community.
In this short project itself, I learned basically how religion and Good deeds combine with each other creating a right path for us. Another important factor I got to know is the happiness of donating. The importance of organization is an important point I consider I learned truly from this. The last skill I learned is how to cooperate with difficult situations and different people.
