Our Cub Scout pack organized a food drive for the ACT (Active Christians Today) office, which provides meals and other support for the homeless and working poor in North Orange County. We sought out and obtained a donation of thousands of grocery bags from a local grocer. We designed and printed a flyer which was attached to each bag. Scouts passed out the bags after Church services and in the local community one weekend, and then collected the filled bags the following weekend. Thousands of bags of food were then sorted and stored for distribution by the ACT office.
