Creating a sensory garden for a special education class
The goal of the project was to build the garden so that the students could be outside and have fun doing hands on experience instead of just being in their classroom for the entire day. I began planning it in August of 2012 and it was completed in March of 2013. Even though the weather was an issue everyone there over came it and worked has hard as they could to get the project done. All of our tools came from parents that worked there which really cut down on costs and the materials were sold a lot cheaper to us. When it was complete it looked absolutely amazing and the teacher that wanted the project to be done in the first place started to cry when she came to school the next day and saw it was complete. The project really brought people together in our community and gave back to a very good cause. If you would like to possibly do a project like this then contact me as your community would never forget it.
