Interaction of Migrant Refugees to make them feel Homely

In an unprecedented manner, the Rovers and Rangers of Ramjas Scout/Guide Group, have adopted a Shelter Home run by Police Station-Karol Bagh, New Delhi on the directions of Government of Delhi in this Covid19 Pandemic Circumstances. The Rovers and Rangers have been rendering their services since 15 April, 2020.
The Shelter Home is set-up within the premises of Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalaya, situated at Plot No. 1, Link Road, near Jhandewalan Metro Station, Karol Bagh, New Delhi 110005, comprising of more than 100 migrant refugees, which includes Senior Citizens, Women, Children, Teenagers and Adults of all ages with diverse backgrounds.
The refugees have been divided into patrols, each having a patrol leader to disseminate the information amongst other patrol members. Apart from regular day-to-day activities such as food distribution, distributing basic items such as toiletries etc., helping the people, the Rovers and
Rangers have taken-up activities such as Drawing Competition, Singing, Art & Craft, Clay Modelling, and many others for different age groups. All the activities are driven keeping in mind the rules of
social distancing and hygiene of self and the people.
The whole task is being performed under supervision and guidance of Mr. Maninder Singh, SHO, Karol Bagh and Assistant Group Leader, Ramjas Scout Group along with other Senior Members of the Group.
