Covid-19 Food Donation to Food Bank
During pandemic COVID-19, Malaysia Government had announced the Movement Control Operation (MCO) since 18 March 2020. We are not allowed to go out from home except those working in daily needs industry. Many of the families that lost their job or cannot go out for work was experiencing financial issues. After three consecutive month, Rover Crew L,M, and N were decided to raise fund and donate the food to the food bank and also families that lack of food.
At first, we create a google form to raise fund from our personal social media. At the same time, we also contact the food bank and ask what things they need. We post to the social media if found any families suffering food issues then please contact us. After one week, we collected all the information and decide which things to buy and what quantity to buy. We purchase the food from Lotus and distribute to them. We repeated the process for second time to help more people.
We should start the action to help others that are suffering. Because scout are a team and we should take the opportunity as a team to contribute more.
