Converting Plastic Waste into Pen Holders

I got inspired to do this project after seeing many plastic bottles thrown on the beach and in my area. Plastic waste is dangerous for sea animals and fish. SDG 14 is about life below water, so I wanted to protect it. I decided to make something useful from waste bottles. I made pen holders so my classmates can use them and learn about recycling.
First, I collected plastic bottles from my home, school and beach. Then I washed them and cut the top part carefully with scissors. After that, I decorated them with color paper and markers to make nice pen holders. Finally, I made 3 pen holders and gave them to my classmates. Many pens and pencils can fit in each holder. Now my friends use these instead of throwing bottles in the sea.
I learned that plastic bottles can be reused instead of throwing them in the sea. Small actions like making pen holders help protect marine animals. This project taught me to be creative and care about SDG 14. My friends also learned about recycling from me.
