His Holiness the Chief Abbot of Bhutan presided over the consecration ceremony of the Thongdrol of the 16th century Buddhist Spiritual cum Political Leader Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel (ZNN). As the prophecy, ZNN came to Bhutan in 1616 AD and united Bhutan. This Thongdrol was built by Tsirang Dzongkhag. I was actively involved during the consecration ceremony in serving to the public cum crowd control. More than 1000 people joined during the 4 hour consecration ceremony. Later in the afternoon, i was involved in the well being ritual performed by HH the Je Khenpo. The 5 hour ritual saw more than 1000 devotees attending. Such religious discourse brought together the devotees and the local residents together.
