Connecting cultures through scouting

“Cultural Celebration Day is a reminder of the spirit and values of Scouting as an educational movement for young people that is inclusive to all regardless of gender, ethnicity or cultural background,” said Beatriz Candeias, Junior Manager, Diversity and Inclusion with the World Organization of the Scout Movement.
The Cultural Celebration Day embraces the cultural diversity of the Scout Movement and celebrates the unity of young people from around the globe
Changes that affect individuals' surroundings (architecture, arts, customs, rituals etc.) owing to influxes of tourists constitute cultural impacts.
By bringing people together, cultural activities such as festivals, fairs, or classes create social solidarity and cohesion, fostering social inclusion, community empowerment, and capacity-building, and enhancing confidence, civic pride, and tolerance.
