Compassion in action

I was motivated to take up this project because I strongly believe that every individual, regardless of their abilities, deserves to live with dignity, comfort, and care. Seeing the challenges faced by people with disabilities in their daily lives inspired me to create a meaningful difference through both physical and emotional support.
The project was executed in collaboration with local gewog administrations and partner organizations DPO, who provided crucial logistical and transportation support. Together, we repaired and adjusted home infrastructures, provided personal care, and distributed assistive devices to improve independence. Most importantly, we built bonds of trust and compassion with the recipients by offering emotional support.
This project taught me that small acts of kindness—whether through physical assistance or simple words of encouragement—can transform lives. I learned that collaboration with communities and organizations is essential for reaching those in need. Above all, I realized that serving with genuine care not only uplifts others but also enriches one’s own sense of purpose and humanity.
