On June 29, 2019 142 Desuups from Thimphu, Punakha and Wangdue Phodrang has contributed a day long Volunteer service to Wangdue Phodrang Dzong Reconstruction Project. They were divided into five groups and are engaged in the carrying of dressed stones, dismantling of old walls and carrying and ramming of Earth (satha). The Desuung family takes pride and for their generous contribution in rebuilding the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong to it's former glory.
