Community Service Mass Cleaning Campaign
On 11th November, 2022 I have organized a community service(cleaning campaign) across Sipsu Gola Bazar with small group of friends of mine from Gola Army Camp. My main aim to initiate this campaign was to keep the surrounding neat and clean and to avoid mass sickness.
It was across Sipsu Gola Bazar, under Samtse Dzongkhag. It was conducted from 1pm till 5pm.
During that time I divided them into two groups, where group one was from army camp gate till BPC and group two was from taxi parking till Tashi Choling Primary school.We have cleaned the whole area of Sipsu Bazar even the drain and also across the river side. We have kept bottle sack and plastic/paper sack separately from and in total there were more than 12 sacks
From this project approximately 50 to 60 people are benefited. The impact through my project is that we can able to keep our surrounding neat and clean and also avoid mass sickness.
From this project I have learnt that our community are also concerned about the waste and they are also appreciating ours works. Even some of shopkeepers also contributed refreshments to us and some teachers also appreciate and gave compliments to us which shows that the community have understood the importance of mass cleaning and necessity of keeping our surrounding hygiene. To make this project a better at the end of campaign I have tought some yells to my volunteers.
