Celebrated International Peace Day on the theme "Climate Action for Peace." 

141 Scouts (Nachung and Nazhoen Scouts) of Yangchen Gatshel Middle Secondary School took part in celebrating International Peace Day, 2019. The event was coordinated by the scout leaders of the school in consultation with the school management. Following are the brief accounts of the activities initiated:

1. Youth speech for Peace: Lead by the troop leader, 30 scouts participated to deliver a speech on the theme "Climate Action for Peace." The speech was delivered during morning assembly in front of all the students and teachers.

2. Peace Pledge, Awareness Programme & Peace Rally: Scouts also took part to undertake pledges on the theme for the day. Later, the scouts and scout leaders walked around the community for Peace Rally and create awareness on safeguarding climate to have world peace. Scouts also did the cleaning in the CHamgang Community.

The program for the day was successful with the awareness created and loads of plastic wastes collected.
