Cleaning at "Tumdra Aminay"

The Rover crew along with few other volunteers visited Tundra Ney. The group cleaned the whole area starting from the base of the hill to all the areas near the lhakhang. We even cleaned and mopped the sites. The group collects more than 100 sacks of garbages. The Tundra Ney is also known as the Lhamo Ekajati Ney, Aum Kangchema Ney, Shiv Mandir, Mahakali Mandir. Tertoen Drukdra Doeji discovered some "ters" at the Ekajati Ney in the eighteenth century. The Lhamo Ekajati, the chief resident of the power place has a unique look and is depicted with single breast, one leg and an eye located below her forehead and a single hair. In Tumdra Ney, Lhamo Ekajati unifies the hearts of hindu and buddhist and brought together the minds of Indians and Bhutanese. The construction of the lhakhang was Sponsored by the Royal grandmother,Ashi Kesang Choden Wangchuk. It is located at about 2hrs,30mins drive and 30mins walk from the college. For making this event a successful one ,we would like to thank #Mr_Inchu_Dorji, club advisor for providing us with the opportunity, #Dophu_Transport for providing us with free transportation and lunch and all the volunteers for volunteering and making the visit a memorable and successful one.
