Cleaning Challenge (42nd Street)

Rovers and scouts from different universities and schools in Yangon gathered in the early morning of Mayday (1st of May) at 42nd street in downtown Yangon. The activity area was inside the backstreet of 42nd street which was filled with garbages and sewages in depth of almost 3 feet. These garbages were filled because of reckless, undisciplined and badly behaved neighbourhood.  About 100 rovers and scouts from different parts of Yangon actively joined in the activity along with many other charity and civil society organisations and Yangon Municipal Authority called Yangon City Development Committee YCDC.  The activity started from 7 AM to 3 PM and it was organised by one of the active civil society group called Clean Yangon in collaboratively support of the YCDC.
