Due to the accumulation of garbage and waste beneath the historic Kin Bridge in Sylhet, pedestrians passing through the bridge often have to endure unpleasant odors. In response to this situation, Bangladesh Scouts, Sylhet Railway District took the initiative to clean the area beneath the bridge. They worked together to remove the accumulated waste, transforming the space into a clean and beautiful environment.
As a result of this initiative, people now feel a sense of beauty when passing over the Kin Bridge. The unpleasant odor is no longer present, and the environment has become much cleaner and livelier. This has allowed both local residents and visitors to enjoy a healthier and more pleasant atmosphere. The initiative has also raised awareness among many and inspired others to contribute to maintaining cleanliness.
Lord Baden-Powell, the founder of Scouting, said, ‘Try to leave the world a little better than you found it.’ With this noble goal in mind, we are carrying out our activities with dedication. We are committed to making our country more beautiful and prosperous through these efforts.
