Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Saeed Khokon said the people of Dhaka have set a new record through the symbolic clean-up program. This symbolic program is organized to make the city dwellers aware to build a transparent Dhaka. Announcing the completion of registration after participating in the event, the mayor said, "As the mayor of Dhaka, I am dedicating this record to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman." Dhaka South Mayor Saeed Khokon inaugurated the program at around 9.30 am on Friday. A joint venture of DSCC and Reckitt Benckiser Bangladesh, with the support of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), launched a campaign called 'Dettol Clean Dhaka'. According to the DSCC authorities, the program is a symbol of the awareness of the city dwellers to build a transparent Dhaka. This will increase the awareness among the people even if the whole metropolis is not clean.
