Class song backstage work

It was a first for me to assist in such a major event, thus i decided to take the opportunity to learn how to do the main backstage work.
we arrived at school at about 8 in the morning to get all the backstage stuff prepared, but only was needed at like 6pm when the actual event starts, then we had to help each class bring their props together and assist in addressing them to which way to walk. everything eventually ended at 12pm that night
It lessened the load of which the teachers and the other people who were helping in the backstage
I learned that backstage work isn't very easy as you have to have impeccable timing for each event as to make it smoother to run through
