Children's Emergency Relief and Protection Webinar

As scouts, we are always prepared as our motto goes and we should live by it, which is why as scouts, we need to equip ourselves towards disaster preparedness and ready to deliver and equip ourselves in times of difficult situations we must learn how to cater other people most especially those who are in the vulnerable sector the child, in order to help our people and the child in the Philippines, we must learn the law the RA 10821 that protect the children and us as scouts must.

The Boy Scouts of the Philippines - Samar Council, which served as the organizing council, accepted the program's proposal from the Rover Scouting Section of the BSP Samar Council. We invited the Department of Social Welfare and Development to serve as the program's keynote speaker, and we collaborated on it with the National Youth Commission - Baguio Area Cluster, which provided the program with other necessary resources like zoom.

There are 208 total beneficiaries of this program, and they learn a lot about child protection during disaster preparedness, especially about Republic Act 10821 known as the “Children’s Emergency Relief and Protection Act”, the law that safeguards children during emergencies and disasters to prevent physical, mental, emotional, and intellectual harm.

I discover that it's important to always have a contingency plan when executing a project or program. During the execution of the program, we informed another agency about the person who would present the topic, and they somehow assured us that they could do so. However, there is currently no one available to speak on the topic, so we are still grateful to the prior agency because they referred us to another agency that could accommodate us.
