Chenrigzig drupchen - A service with devotion
Its a true blessing and privilege to volunteer and be part of a sacred empowerment and ritual of chenrigzig , (the god of compassion) being presided by his holiness the J Khenpo to the public. Thus I volunteered to be part of the working team providing service to the public during the empowerment
Though the empowerment by his holiness the J Khenpo started from 3rd of March, due to schooling I couldn't provide a full time service but provided my service with devotion during the weekdays and the last 2 days(4 days). It was a service did in collaboration with dessups, public volunteers, students and along with monk.
Task done were:
• Public serving of meals and refreshments
• Crowd control (during wang) and seating arrangements for the devotees
• Cleaning and sanitations(after 𝑤𝑎𝑛𝑔)
Lessons i learned:
• Teamwork and coordinations
• Volunteering beyond self
• Respect for culture and spirituality
