My friends and I (total 16 people) organized a charity drive to visit an orphanage home, namely Seri Cahaya Welfare, located at Batu Maunt on 27 May 2018. The event started with briefing by welfare home manager about the history and facilities available in orphanage home. From briefing, we learnt 20 orphanages are currently living here, and their living expenses are mainly from public donation. As we were aware of their living conditions prior visiting; we had voluntary raised some donations/funds (total RM1040) from among ourselves, friends and colleagues prior visiting. Those donations had been hand-overred to manager in a simple ceremony. Next, we organized some simple activities and games for the children. These activities include: a. Creativity games on making toys/souvenirs b. Chromatography: Fun behind the science c. Paper folding to become bird and box We ended our visit with a birthday celebration. Sharing is caring, a little help and guidance from us would bring a lot of fun and happiness to them.
