Champion of nature

We were inspired to do the Champion of Nature project because we wanted to help both the environment and my community. The loss of mangroves and the needs of children motivated me to take action. Our goal was to restore nature by planting mangroves and to support the children at Mwangaza Children’s Home.
The Champion of Nature project was carried out by planting 10,000 mangrove seedlings at Gastonia Beach in Kilifi to support environmental restoration. We also visited Mwangaza Children’s Home for a charity activity, where we donated items and spent time with the children. These two activities showed our commitment to caring for both nature and the community.
From the project, I learned the importance of teamwork, community involvement, and protecting the environment. I also realized how small actions—like planting mangroves or supporting children—can create a big positive impact.
