In close cooperation with ARTDO International, ITD world & Messengers of peace program, and in the light of its key role to work on developing the skills and competences of the Arab scout trainers of trainers who are interested in qualifying and empowering young people and scouts in their NSOs. Since there is a lack as well as a need to the qualified certified trainers in the Arab NSOs at national level; the Arab Scout Regional Office organized a specialized training for the TOT titled "Certified Training for Professionals (CTP)', Mar. 2015. Some of 30 participants representing 8 Arab NSOs took part in the baned event as follows: Egypt (1), KSA (11), Lebanon (3), Morocco (6), Kuwait (2), Jordan (1), Sudan (5) & Mauritania (1). The program of the named event scheduled number of key topics which were conducted through number of workshops and training sessions met the interests of the participants, including the followings: • how to analysis training needs • How to design a professional training program • How to develop and implement it • How to evaluate for further improvement The final outputs of the projects were as follows: ACTIVITY 1 – TITLE: CTP Training for 30 participants Action: Organizing number of workshops and relevant activities covering the different topics to enhance the absorption of targeted participants to the new skills of the named program, workshops on: • how to analysis training needs • How to design a professional training program • How to develop and implement it • How to evaluate for further improvement The participants should practice what he has learnt by presenting a short presentation and a model sheet paper at the end of each workshop. Outputs: A Certificate of Achievement has been issued by ITD world upon the completion of the 10-day training (for each participant). ACTIVITY 2 - TITLE: Evaluation of the 90 days CTP projects, CTP certificate distribution. Action: COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATION Each participant will be evaluated based on the competency criteria at two stages: • At the learning level after the CTP Training Program, and • At the job application level after the submission of competency reports. The reports will be based specifically on performance against competency criteria. The client organization will be provided with the participant evaluation. • Assessment will be 360 degrees with inputs from direct superior, participants, internal/external clients, program facilitators as well as self-assessment by the participant. • The Certified Training Professional conferred and recognized by ITD world will be given on the basis of the assessment of completed projects. CERTIFICATION • A Certificate of Achievement for each module will be issued by ITD world upon completion of the 10-day training. • Certified Training Professional (CTP) will be awarded by ITD world upon completion of all requirements (in conformance with ARTDO International- ITD competency clusters) within the 90-day assessment period after the 10-day training.
