Celebration of International Day of Peace, 2022
Theme: End racism. Build peace.
Everyone is invited to join the efforts of Balam Primary School as we work towards a community free of racism and racial discrimination. A world where compassion and empathy overcome suspicion and hatred. A world that we can truly be proud of.
Objectives:
• To commemorate the IDP through active involvement
• To inspire and support Scouts to talk on Peace Actions
• To serve the community in the form of service
-The participants gathered in the assembly ground.
-The minute of silence were observed. Sang scout anthem proudly.
-The commissioner gave a peace talk focusing on the theme
-Made commitment towards peace.
-Walked from school to Mantshang about 3 km
-Hosted the peace actions banner
-Carried the Peace Picture and Pledges
-Picked up the waste by road side and created awareness
-Served with refreshment and special meal
-Read together
- Vote of thanks and a group photo
160 students and 13 school staff too part in the celebration of International Day of Peace. All the participants made commitment to oneself and others. Irrespective of their ages, culture, grades and abilities, they took active part in observing the day long program.
I made commitment to self and others about the peace.
