Celebrating World Scarf day

Celebrating World Scarf day

1st August is celebrated as our World Scarf Day.  This day is for all active and former Scout members to showcase their Scout pride by wearing their scarfs in public as a symbol of the Scout promise and the spirit of Scouting.

We the members of the Master Da Surja Sen Rover Crew of The Bharat Scouts And Guides / N.F.Rly / Alipurduar Division celebrated this day by organizing a cycle hike from DRSC ground to Dima Bridge.

A total of 15 Rovers successfully participated in the hike.

On reaching our destination, at first we cleaned the spot i.e. undertook sanitation program. Then we received our chief guests Shri Utpal Roy (PRE-LT Cub Master) and Shri Surya Sarkar (Advance scoutmaster) by Guard of Honour. They distributed us the group Scarf and told us an inspiring speech about the history of Scarf Day and about Scouting. After this we started our next program of Tree Plantation. Each of us had planted a sibling near the site.

Then we undertook sanitation near the bank of Dima River and cleaned the river. Our chief guests were very happy by such a wonderful program organized by us. At last we exchanged Scarf among us and handshake. Our whole program came to an end by closing ceremony, Flag Lowering with our National Anthem and Thanking each other.
