Celebrating International Yoga Day

Celebrating International Yoga Day

‘Yoga’ is an ancient physical, mental and spiritual practice, which symbolizes the union of body and consciousness. The International Day of Yoga aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga.

So today, on 21/06/2019 on the International Yoga Day, we the members of Master Da Surja Sen Rover Crew of The Bharat Scouts And Guides / N.F.Rly organized a yoga teaching program under the guidance of Shri Suvendu Chakraborty (Kho Kho and Kabadi coach, West Bengal State). A total of 36 members including Scouts, Guides, Rovers, Rangers,Unit Leaders and local childrens had participated in our program. Our aim was to motivate and aware everyone around us that yoga plays a very important role in controlling an individual's mind, body and soul and it should be practiced everyday. Our sir Shri Suvendu Chakraborty told us about different types of Asanas, their benifits and also teached us how to practice them.

At last all the participants were very happy after knowing the beauty of yoga, they appreciated our work and also thanked us for organizing such a wonderful program.
