Çanakkale Zafer Kampı

The Gallipoli Battle or the Gallipoli Battle is the sea and land battle between the Ottoman Empire and the Entente Powers on the Gallipoli Peninsula between 1915 and 1916 during World War I. [9] Entente States; To capture the control of the straits of Istanbul and the Dardanelles by taking Istanbul as the capital of the Ottoman Empire and to secure a supply of supplies and military supply with Russia and to weaken the Allied Powers by ousting one of Germany's allies They chose the Dardanelles Strait as their first target. But the attacks failed and were forced to retreat. Both sides suffered very heavy losses as a result of the land and sea battle. Because of the 102nd anniversary of Çanakkale Victory, we made a three-day camp with 4 leaders, 4 scout volunteers, 20 scouts and 2 tents in İzmir Dereköy. Fire varieties and technological track signs were applied, games were played, Çanakkale poems and Çanakkale songs were sung. In 1915, the only food left in the trenches was cooked wheat soup, which is similar to our grandparents who joined the war with grape juice. All of the meals were cooked at the campfire, the tea was brewed, it was drinkable. The forest is challenging, water challenges, energy is challenging .We did a series of activities related to. Day and night walks were held. We are not accustomed to the temperature of -2 degrees Celsius, and unfortunately we were not quite ready for the winter conditions, so it was quite cold in the summer tents. Our camp scouts, which we have realized on very difficult conditions, are still happy.
